Kenji Nakayama (KnGee) – Reflection Returnal Creation
February 21, 2008
FYC asked me to take photos of my painting process. These are the photos I took at each stage of making the Reflection Returnal piece.
I’m sorry that I have told people that Reflection Returnal was painted with an 11 layer stencil – it’s actually a 10 layer stencil, I don’t know why I believed it was 11… maybe from inhaling too much spray fume!

FYC is proud to announce the signing of Kenji Nakayama (KnGee). Kenji’s works are some of the most ridiculous stencil creations we have ever seen. We are not joking when we report his latest 11 layer stencil ‘Reflection Returnal’ took him an entire month to cut!

We have always been big fans of Logan Hicks work; but also his humor/personality. Below is a post from his blog we think everyone should check out because:
1. ) It is sickening how corporations take advantage of artists &Â
2.) We found Logan’s analysis hilarious & dead on

Another Online Art Gallery???
June 9, 2007
Let me start by saying… I am a big pussy. I wanted to open a physical art gallery in Chicago focusing on contemporary artists. After an exhaustive search for suitible locations, developing a anally-retentive detailed business plan, and crunching a ton of financials – I came to the unfortunate conclusion it didn’t make much sense to leave my cushy job and risk it all. The sad thing is I really wanted to stop being a corporate stooge and do what I’m truly passionate about.
That brings us to the present… http://www.fycgallery.com/ is our way of ‘dipping our toe in the water’. Hopefully, things go well and we can justify taking it to the next level by getting actual gallery space.
So what exactly is FYC Gallery??? We look at ourselves as an outlet – a place to be introduced to some of the most cutting-edge contemporary artists; a place for artists, progressive collectors & vagabonds to meet, chat, argue, and further this thing we call art; and also a place to buy some absolutely incredible pieces of art.
We realize that everyone and their momma thinks they are an art dealer these days so our mantra is simple. We only carry artists that we strongly believe in and also personally collect. We aren’t in this for the money – although my gf does like regular pedicures/manicures & I’m kinda a dining/wine snob – but that’s not saying we won’t take your money!
Welcome and enjoy.
